This activity has been prepared as a mix of icebreakers for the first class of the year for ESL students.

Personally, I use it with my pupils of Quatrième LCE, which, in France, could correspond to supplementary English class for the American 8th grade.

It includes four icebreaking activities:

• A bingo “find someone who”, for the pupils to get to know each other
• Chit-chat cubes for the pupils to ask each other questions
• A “get to know your teacher” worksheet
• A “Who am I?” game where students have to guess what celebrity they are
• A “Who are you?” worksheet with a text your students must complete for you to get to know them.

Included:

• About one hour and a half worth of class;
• A slideshow in video (MP4) or in PDF; Worksheets in PDF – easy to print;
