》ACTIVITY for ESL learners: WWII – Tex Avery’s Blitz Wolf《

This activity is about the cartoon Blitz Wolf by Tex Avery!

It includes three activities:

  • Before watching: a work on Tex Avery, on the historical context and on the poster.
  • While watching: a 5-page worksheet on the short film.
  • After reading: giving your opinion and interaction.

This is what your students need to know before working on this activity:

- Basic knowledge about WWII (Hitler, the Pearl Harbor attack on December 1941, the swastika, the non-aggression pact…)

- The simple past tense (preterit) and the simple present tense.

- Knowing the story of “The Three Little Pigs”.

You can use these worksheets as an stand-alone activity or you can pair it to the unit I made for ESL students entitled “Kids & Blitz” and/or to the reading companion to the book Blitz Britain by Philippa Boston.

Included:

  • Two to three hours worth of class;
  • A strong and vast cultural contribution;
  • Worksheets in PDF – easy to print;
  • The keys to all the documents;
